It is not uncommon in our day to have conversations about dreams in an open forum. Why do dreams hold a fascination to most individuals? Can it be that many souls are awakening to the knowledge that dreams are in some way an important communication phenomena that should not be overlooked?
Some people are convinced they don't dream, it would be more accurate to say they don't remember dreaming. It takes a certain conscious soul ability to focus and concentrate and bring back a dream sequence once awake. A key symbol or feeling is often all that is required to open up an entire memory sequence in symbolic story form.
We can argue the reality or importance of dreams, but facts speak for themselves. Dreams play a significant part in the legendary lives of the founders of all world religions. Dreams announce, confirm, or direct the founder's vocation. Those who have faith in God, believe these are direct revelations from God to man.
Those who are cynical, regard them as inventions of the disturbed individual living in a world of fantasy and make believe.
Dreams unfold in relationship to one's soul development. Once an individual has penetrated his soul record to obtain his or her dream formula, it is only a matter of time until a clear realization will appear to explore the profound meaning of this incarnation.
Direct experience and realization is the only true way to unlock the potential stored away in the invisible realms of the dream life. The average person sleeps twenty two years in a lifespan; which is a significant work period for the soul. Once the connection is made from within, dreams awaken one to many dimensions or heavens which become accessible to the awakening soul consciousness.
Just as the mind concentrates on situations experienced in the body as real and meaningful, the same thing occurs while out of the body working in the etheric light. Dreams are created, when spirit, reflected through the etheric light, mingles with a concentrated thought process of one or more souls acting out on the mental plane.
In the material world, the same creative process occurs, it appears slower and less powerful in the world of matter because it is restricted to the frequency of time and space. The same principals are at work in both situations.
Looking back at history, dreams are recorded as important events in the progression of mankind toward self knowledge and evolution.
The life of the infant Jesus was saved from Herod's massacre when the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream to tell him to flee with the Christ child to Egypt.
A short time earlier, the three wise men had a dream in which they were warned not to return to Herod and tell him where the child was. Instead they were provided a different route for the return trip home. In this instance, three men experienced the same dream imparting the same information.
When Herod died, Joseph was informed again through a dream that he could leave Egypt and return with his family to Israel.
In an advanced technology with computers, telephone, telegraph, and television, communication is easy. Relying on dreams for insight and knowledge seems primitive and use less in comparison to the state of advanced technology. However, the information provided us through dreams will far surpass what is available on this plane of experience even using the most sophisticated technology. Because dreams deal with many dimensions, beyond what is available to the individual in the waking state, dream power should not be ignored. Make no mistake, hours used for dreaming are valuable to the soul/ human consciousness beyond even ones wildest dreams.
During the time of Christ, technology didn't exist. Dreams and mystical experiencewere important gifts of spirit. The insight that was provided through dreams provided guidance in both spiritual and material matters.
The nature of dreams hasn't changed, dreams aren't meant to guide only the chosen ones playing a specific role in humanities history. Dreaming is an important gift from God provided to each soul for self remembering. When one is spiritually awake, dreams are the essential link to spiritual truths worked out in higher dimensions. To become a soul infused personality is of extreme importance within the evolution process.
We know dreams have a great impact in the religions of the world, how has it effected our world in this century?
In the third year of World War I an Austrian soldier woke from a dream in which he had been buried beneath an avalanche of earth and molten iron, he could fell blood flowing down his chest. He awoke to find himself unharmed in his trench shelter not far from the French front. All was quiet, but the dream still worried him. When he couldn't get the dream out of his mind, he left the shelter and moved into the open country between the French and Bavarian armies. He told himself he was stupid, at any moment he could be hit by a stray bullet and his dream would be real, yet, he continued. Moments later a loud explosion occurred, Corporal HItler fell to the ground. He ran back to the shelter only to find it had all but disappeared. An immense crater was in its place. Everyone was dead. From that day on, Adolph Hitler believed that he had been entrusted with a special mission, he believed his destiny would change the world.
He was right, his destiny did change the world.
