Thoughts and How We Create
Dear G.G.,
In a recent issue of your newspaper the Communicator you wrote about "thought forms as things." I found this extremely interesting as I often can't stop myself from worrying. I expect the worst out of many situations. And, I've been accused of being negative.
Do you really believe that the habit of worrying causes experiences to happen and that I could create the problem? If so, how do I stop it?....Interested, but confused. R.D.
Dear R.D.,
I'm a lifelong student of philosophy and what I would call spirituality.
There is a natural spiritual law that functions on the principle that "whatever we hold in the uppermost part of our consciousness, and believe to be true, will manifest."
That simply means that the intelligence within us knows exactly what life is and what can be, providing the free will aspect of the human personality will allow it. If the personality does not allow this, then our own thought processes manifest what is in our lives. Everything that exists in our lives is created by one source or the other.
When one actually begins to understand this principle and works with it from the inside out, then it becomes acutely important to examine every thought that is held in the consciousness. Once the intelligence of the human being, the soul, becomes more alert to its position in time and space, then it is only a matter of experience until the emotions will be tamed, and life situations will clear up.
Sometimes it is difficult to admit that every negative situation in your life comes from a past system of beliefs which are focused and crystallized into experience. Somehow it is much easier to accept the good things that are happening as having come through personal growth and understanding, but when things happen that are not pleasant, we would rather reject the responsibility for having projected it into existence.
Once your mind opens up to the possibility that there is a connection between what we think and what happens, then you have the opportunity to observe the mind in action. Observation is the first step in detachment which allows one to see how emotions feed on thoughts in the process of creation.
Fears, worries, doubts, or concerns act and react over and over on the belief system until inharmonious situations occur and reoccur, reflecting the exact workings of the inner belief system. The mind works through a pattern made from impressions of the past, as energy is fed to empower the thoughts being projected in creation of this moment. Emotions and thoughts work together to manifest this reality in the human condition.
The secret to balancing these energies is simple, but it must be practiced constantly to be totally effective: Listen; be still, and in the quiet, give yourself the opportunity to observe the processing of the mind. Is your mind extremely active? More than likely the answer is 'yes.'
This is where change can be experienced very quickly. Monitor your thoughts day and night. Keep a dream journal, record your dreams, and monitor the thought process during your daytime experience.
Once you've begun to observe the thought/emotion connection, you will have created a window of insight into the truth. This information will naturally take you to a quieter place within yourself, and change will become an important aspect of your journey.
To discover this information from within yourself is a significant step in the evolution process. Be confident that what is happening is for your good.
The natural tendency of the self-centered mind is to reject spiritual truth as a intellectual concept that is meaningless to direct experience. Observe this reaction. The monitoring process will bring you through your doubts and fears regarding the quieting of the mind and all the emotions that go along with it. Before long you will want and need relief as truth is accepted from within change will happen.
I have practiced this throughout my adult life and the results are such that I actually see negative thought forms around people. I know that may seem odd, but it's not in the least.
Art has long portrayed images of both lower and higher life forms. The images of negative thought forms are often of thoughts that have materialized and connected to individuals, manipulating life in every respect.
One wonders how Hitler managed to lead so many people into the path of destruction, but it's not hard to understand once we observe thoughts and emotions at work. He was a master at projecting and creating thought forms.
We are all masters of our own destiny, because of this, it is important to learn the process of creation. The next step in this learning realization is to bring God as divine will into our communication experience. Once I can ask God to teach me of divine will, I open up to the next spiritual realization that will directly change who I am.
I hope this is helpful.
Your friend,
G.G.
